Terms of Service

MMVault is a personal media-search service. You upload videos, audio, images and screenshots; we process them with AI to make their contents searchable and answerable inside your private workspace, including transcripts, screen text (OCR), scene descriptions, key moments, and clip suggestions.

MMVault is provided by MMVault ('MMVault', 'we', 'us'). These Terms form a binding agreement between you and us.

You must be at least 13 years old to use MMVault, or the minimum age required in your country to consent to the processing of personal data (16 in much of the EU/EEA). MMVault is not directed to children under that age and we do not knowingly collect their data.

If you use MMVault on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at contact@mmvault.ai if you suspect unauthorised access. You can sign in with email or supported third-party providers (e.g. Google, Apple).

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant MMVault a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, copy, transmit, transcode, analyse and display your content solely to operate, secure and improve the service for you and your workspace.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to upload your content and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.

MMVault is a private vault — content you upload is visible only to you and members of your workspace, not to the public or other users. We still apply automated and manual moderation against illegal content.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualised content involving minors.
• Non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual content depicting real people without consent, or impersonation.
• Content that promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or imminent violence against people.
• Content created or used to harass, threaten, defraud or stalk another person.
• Malware, spyware, or content uploaded to attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
• Content you do not have the legal right to upload or that infringes intellectual-property rights.

You can report objectionable content or abusive users at any time by emailing contact@mmvault.ai with a link or screenshot. We act on credible reports within 24 hours, removing offending content and, where appropriate, suspending or terminating the responsible account.

You can also block individual workspace members from sharing further content with you from your workspace settings. We may remove content, suspend features, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity.

MMVault uses third-party AI models (e.g. from Google and OpenAI, accessed through the Lovable AI Gateway) to transcribe, OCR, describe, embed and answer questions about your media. AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate or misleading. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it for any important decision.

You must not use MMVault's AI features to generate, request or distribute prohibited content (see Section 5).

MMVault is currently offered as a beta. Features, limits and pricing may change. Processing may fail and storage limits may apply. Do not rely on MMVault as the sole copy of important media — keep your own backups.

Some plans may be paid. Where you purchase a subscription via Apple's App Store or Google Play, billing, renewal and cancellation are managed by the relevant store under their terms. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew at the displayed price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your store account settings.

Refunds, where offered, follow the policy of the store of purchase. For purchases made directly from us, contact contact@mmvault.ai — statutory refund and withdrawal rights (e.g. EU 14-day right of withdrawal) always apply where required by law.

MMVault, the MMVault name and logos, and all software, designs and content we provide are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the service in line with these Terms.

You can stop using MMVault and delete your account at any time from in-app Settings or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that pose security or legal risk, or where we are required to by law.

On termination, your media and derived data are deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MMVault is provided 'as is' and 'as available', without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI output, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that any content will be preserved without loss.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MMVault and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, business or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the service. Our total aggregate liability for direct damages will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to liability, or (b) USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (such as for fraud, gross negligence, or statutory consumer rights).

You will indemnify and hold MMVault harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you upload, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to consumer contracts in your country of habitual residence. For users outside the EU/EEA and UK, English law applies, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

We will try to resolve disputes informally first. Where formal proceedings are needed they will be brought in the courts of your country of residence (for consumers) or in London, England (otherwise).

If you obtained the MMVault iOS app from Apple's App Store, the following also apply: these Terms are between you and MMVault only, not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. In the event of any failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.

Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app, including product-liability, consumer-protection or intellectual-property claims. You must comply with the App Store Terms and confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a 'terrorist supporting' country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

We may update these Terms as the product and law evolve. We will update the 'Last updated' date and, for material changes, give reasonable advance notice (e.g. by email or in-app notice). Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
